Orange Skunk camping at our door…?
Posted by: | CommentsHi, me and my family live at a small farm in northern new york and at about 2:30 pm i started walking down our drive-way to check our mailbox and i saw this “skunk” sitting at the end of our drive-way it had a black head, very hairy orange back, black tail, white underbelly and a white strip running from its head to its tail… i thought it was dead so i took a stick that was laying on the ground and gave it a tap on the back to make sure and then it hunched up at me and started “Grr” ing at me so i ran back up to the house and waited for it to leave… i sat near the window for about 5 minutes and it started walking towards the house. in about 4 mintues it was sitting at our door step and then… fell asleep… it left 15 mintues later… does anyone know what type of skunk this is? and do you think it had rabies? odd… oh also the entire time this was happening my entire family was downstairs watching “war of the worlds”.
Hmm… i’ll try to catch a picture of it… it might have been a stray cat or something. maybe i’ve been watching to much war of the worlds? oh well…
Fingerprint RV Door Locking System / Motorhome Door Locking System
Posted by: | Comments
This is a biometric recognition system for fingerprints to us on Vehicles, RV’s, Motorhomes, Coaches and more. According to the desired application various in- and outputs can be switched. For the reader unit an active capacitive hybrid flatbed sensor is used. The unit is easy to install with low effort. The inner unit provides all control in- and outputs, the central power supply as well as push buttons for saving/deleting the fingerprint templates. Our System enables the registration of 100 fingerprint templates directly over the control box. You don’t need to enter pin numbers to register your fingerprint. Our System is the perfect solution for private Vehicles, Coaches, Motorhomes, RV’s an more which are regularly used by the same persons. To integrate the system into a vehicle, an electro mechanic locking is needed. In many of the modern RV’s and Vehicles this kind of cabin door is combined with a central door locking system. To use the our Fingerprint Door Locking System you need to install an electromechanical door locking system. The most popular method is an electric strike, the most elaborate seems to be an integrated motorized door lock. Both methods differ not only in security level, but also in cost and installation effort. Every average DIYer might install an electric strike. If necessary, consult an expert. Various kinds of locking systems can be connected to our System. In case that large electrical loads must be switched, heavy duty relays can be …

Just looking for a good place, recommended place were there is a stream/river/body of natural flowing water, green trees and forested that allows camping. What kind of door lock do I get for a mobile trailer?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a 77 trailblazer camper travel trailer and I would like to get a better security lock to keep the bum’s out… The exterior handle looks just like a normal handle on any house door lock with keyhole but the interior handle is a small right angle lever style handle with the 90 deg. twist lock that is 33 years old and barely rotates from lock to unlock on the tip of the handle just above where your thumb and pointer come together at the palm to lock or unlock the door… The door thickness doesn’t look much different and I doubt it’s mm difference from a typical door on a traditional home… I wanted to just buy a key lock exterior door handle so I went to Wall-mart and notice a mobile home deadlock… Well I looked at the dimensions and the mobile home deadlock met the same door thickness and latch dimensions as a standard exterior key lock door handle which really caught me by surprise, why have a different lock for a mobile home if it fit’s a normal house door??? Hopefully someone will have some information on the type of lock I need, I know they sell replacement’s on camper sites but if I can buy a standard exterior key lock handle and or deadbolt then I would rather do that… The tiny handle on the interior side is so small I have trouble shutting the door sometimes because I can’t get a good grip on it…
