My fiancè and I have been planning for quite awhile to get married during the course of my A school in the Navy (we couldn’t do so before boot camp due to difficulties, regardless of the financial benefits involved). Now that I’m in A school, however, I’m hearing a lot of different things. Some people tell me you shouldn’t tell the Navy at all and just get married, then tell them. I don’t plan on doing that since it’s a blatant breach of Honor, Courage, and Committment; but the proper way sounds rather mentally exhausting. I’ve been told that if you plan on getting married you should consult a chaplain on your base. I’ve heard that you’ll be required to take a course over marriage, which I have no problem with, but I’ve also heard that he / she will try to discourage you from getting married and the Navy generally frowns upon that sort of behavior during A school (specifically prior to your first deployment). But we know this is what we want to do.

I guess what I’m really asking is what the best path to take would be if I want to get married soon. I got out of boot camp 2 days ago and am currently located at the Navy’s base in Groton, Connecticut. Advice will be much appreciated!

Solar panels performance during a rain storm! Solar power test DIY I have 3 x 20 watt Solar Panels on my roof. I average 45-70 watts depending on how strong the sun is. I always wondered how well the solar panels would perform in 20-40% of its rated ideal light. Check out how my Solar Panels perform in a serious rain storm! I hook it to solar lights, and a servo motor for testing. It sure looks like Solar panels produce a good deal of electric even in the rain! Please let me know your thoughts and experience with solar power & wind power. I hope you enjoy this video. -Pete mixcatcom Mixcat.com

My husband is still in boot camp right now, so his MOS school is a ways off, and this question is probably a bit premature. But I was just wondering about some things. If all goes well, he would be going to CBRN training for the Marines at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri for 2 months.
Can I live in Waynesville or one of the nearby towns while he’s there?

I was thinking I would move there on my own for the 2 months, just so that we could spend time together whenever he had leave (which I heard is usually weekends and maybe some nights).

I know that technically the military can’t tell me that I CAN’T move to a town in Missouri, but I was still wondering if I could?

(and for those of you who tell me to stay where I am..I really have nothing left for me here. I work from home, I live in my mother in law’s basement, and I’m really sick of Utah. I was thinking Missouri would be a nice change, and I wouldn’t have to shell out money to come and visit.)
His MOS school is too short for me to be allowed to live WITH him, so I’m just talking about living NEAR him.
I was thinking of just renting an already furnished apartment, so I wouldn’t have to move anything. All of our furniture right now is in a storage facility anyways, where it will stay until he gets his PCS.
I’m not even going to bother moving our stuff. I’m living out a suitcase right now anyways
