Archive for fishing

I just got a rod and license, recently moved to Franklin. Any ideas where can I go river or lake fishing? By asking where I mean exactly where can I park the car and stuff, because everything around here seems to be private property. Thanks!

Michigan fishing license for camping?

Posted by: admin | Comments (2)

So my girlfriend and I will be going camping in about a week, and we will probably be fishing. I guess I just don’t quite understand the laws about fishing. I will need a fishing license, correct? And if we both intend to fish, will we both need a license? And do you have any idea how much the lowest fishing license would cost for just a few days of camping? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I want to buy my husband a rod/reel combo for our anniversary . but i don’t know anything at all about them. there is a state park near us with a nice reservoir that he can fish at. i don’t know what kind of fish are in it or anything.

i would really appreciate any advice about what type of rod/reel to get and what size, etc. i found a couple at bass pro shop that looked decent but i don’t know what size to get, and what type of line to buy, or if the pole comes with it. (see i really am stupid about this kind of thing ;) ) Thanks for any help!!
The park is Fort Yargo Park in Georgia, it’s between Athens and Atlanta (much more toward Athens) … I have no idea what type of fish are in the reservoir & don’t know if he “likes” to fish for anything in particular. Thanks for the answers so far though!! It helps a lot & hopefully I’ll know what I’m talking about just a little bit more when I go shopping so I don’t get completely hosed.

I am planning a holiday in Jan or Feb 2009, a weekend in a log cabin that has lakes that you can fish in. Will I need to get a license to do this or do holiday places like that have their own agreement or something?

Thanks

Me and my friends live in Old Tappan, NJ. We fish in Orangeberg, NY at Veterans Memorial Park and in the outskirts of the Hackensack river in our town. Please help me find some really good fishing locations near me. Thanks!

How to measure river depth when fishing?

Posted by: admin | Comments (3)

If Im going to be fishing at a park, but I don’t know how deep is the river or the spot for me to cast. I would like to know what is the best way to measure the depth of that spot while fishing on the side, not on a boat or any kind?
