From what I understand, the military will just provide me with my commercial plane ticket to take me to Navy Basic Training in Chicago rather than me booking it. When do they give you this ticket? I want to put my frequent flyer number on it so I can get benefits and stuff. If it’s on Alaska Airlines I’m an MVP so I can get upgraded to first class if I put the number there early enough. It’d be nice to have one last little touch of luxury before I embark on the hell of boot camp.
I got my answer, but I just want to make something clear. IF the ticket is even on Alaska Airlines is one thing, but if it is, the upgrade is *free* for me because I have status with the airline. I am not *stealing* ANYTHING from the government. What a complete joke to even suggest such a thing.

When I fly on Alaska Airlines as a civilian, I can be upgraded into first class regardless of the original price of my ticket, because I have flown them so much in the past I am considered a valuable customer by the airline. MVP is the specific term that they refer to me as, not just a name I made up for myself. I was just wondering if I would have the opportunity to make use of this benefit I usually have. If so, great, if not, that’s fine too. But some of you don’t seem to understand that this is something that is given to me by the airline FOR FREE specifically because I have flown them enough the past year to earn such status.

And yes, I am aware that boot camp is not actually a living h

(e.g. Ginny instead of Virginia or Drew instead of Andrew or whatever), do you always put their given name on school and camp and activity forms and then let them deal with the fact that nametags and so on will be wrong and teachers will start out calling them the “wrong” name, or do you just write only the nickname on their forms to begin with?

i don’t mean forms like for taxes or passports or something, but things a notch below that in formality.

Do you think mexicans would help the terrorists sneak into this country? Would they help them bring in weapons using their drug smuggling resources? Should we be concerned that their trucks will now be able to drive right into the U.S. and travel to any destination in the U.S. (including your neighborhood) in order to deliver whatever might be loaded in their trailers?

Do you think George “the bobblehead” Bush cares?

I know its long but please help! !!

(At a California State Beach) My friends and I went camping where the quiet hours are from 10PM to 8AM. It was about 10:30 PM when a park ranger angrily approached us and said we are violating the rules.

I admit we were rowdy but we honestly lost track of time as it was only 30 min past quiet hours.

Anyways, without any warning, he gave me a ticket for disturbing peace and quiet. A friend got really upset and made rude comments to the officer. The officer then threatened he could give us all a ticket, make us leave in the middle of the night, or get thrown in jail if he heard another word. I apologized for my friend’s mouth he then said he wants us out by 8AM first thing in the morning (check out is at 10AM) After the officer left, we were silent the rest of the night. Next morning, we talked to the manager about what happened. He said we would still need to leave but that he would give us until 12 noon to enjoy our morning. We actually had our campsite emptied and cleaned by 10AM and wanted to go to the beach for the remaining 2 hours.
We went to the car at the parking area to grab a few things for the beach when the camp host asked us “are you suppose to be here?” before we could answer he blurted “…don’t try to lie to me!” we explained the situation and told him we were given permission to stay until noon. He didn’t bother listening and literally stalked us, and rudely demanded that we leave. We asked him if we were able to use the day use area strictly for the beach. He said he didn’t know and that we needed to ask the person at the window. So we drove to the day use window (as the camp host still followed ) right when we get to the window, the person just said “you guys need to leave.” Basically, we were kicked out and banned from the whole entire campground and beach for being loud at 10:30pm. There were over 80 camp sites there, but the whole staff was after us. Ridiculous!

We truly made an honest mistake that we apologized for. If the ranger had given us a warning, we wold immediately turn off the music and stay quiet.

So my question is do you think this is unfair and wrong?
Do campers always get kicked out after given a ticket?
What can i do about this situation?
