Just broke a glass patio tabletop?
Posted by: | CommentsWe were moving the patio furniture and the glass tabletop part just broke. The size is 38×60 and home depot says they don’t custom cut glass that big. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement tabletop at a decent price? We’re willing to go plexiglass or lucite too, but everything I’ve found so far is pretty pricey, any ideas? Would love your help ![]()
**It does not have to be glass, other surfaces that are suitable for outdoors will work too.
In fact, replacing the glass will cost as much as the entire patio set.
So, I opted to make a mosaic table on cement board instead.

Can I put an iron wine bottle rack with glass outside the house?
Posted by: | CommentsA while back, I bought a beautiful iron bottle rack wine bar holder at an auction at a very high end furniture store. I think it is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet in height and about 3 1/2 in length. Its all in black and has beautiful grapes and leaves but all in iron. A glass sits on top of the rack for wine glasses. It just does not match the inside of our NEW house. I was thinking about taking it out side under a wood porch. I will REALLY match the black patio table. I just don’t know if it will rust and wonder if I should pray it with some kind of protection. Any suggestions?
Would it be ok for me to place my sectional couch in front of a sliding glass door?
Posted by: | CommentsI just moved into a new apartment and I have a dilemma with the furniture placement. I only have three walls to work with, but one of the walls has a sliding glass door that leads to the patio. I have a sectional that will just have to cover up the sliding door. Is there a way I could make it look better? Curtains, perhaps?
How is glass made and formed into things?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a piece of glass on my dresser, desk, and on some other pieces of furniture in our house, including our patio tabletop is glass. Windows, TV and computer screens are glass. I also drink out of a glass every day. How is glass made, and how is it formed into a drinking glass, glass tabletop, etc?
