Horse Camps for teens 15 and up. Have any excellent recomandations?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m looking for a horse camp that offers you each and every day to spend with horses wether it be learning how to do the more chore like parts of care, riding (western), and all of that good stuff. I live in Pennsylvania, but it is a camp, so if it’s far away that’s ok. I was also hoping not to get bunched in with younger kids just because I’m newer to the horse world. Many adults learn late. I was hoping I could get something for older teens, I’m currently 15. I know a good bit, but I’d like it to start pretty basic. I’m looking to go to a horse camp as soon as school lets out, and I want it to be a long trip, but not extremely long because I have other animals at home to worry about. After my riding lessons, horse camp, and additional training, I’m looking into adoption.

Horse riding camps? (20 characters)?
Posted by: | CommentsI have looked all over google, yellow pages, etc. for a horse summer, or spring break (if it’s a spring break camp, then a day camp) in north texas, or around there. Could someone please help me find one? No more than $800, preferably less. It has to be english riding/jumping, overnight would be great. Also, should I find a camp that I can bring my horse to, should I? I love riding new horses, but would also like to progress on my own horse. (I take lessons, but camp is always fun.) Thanks!
Does anyone know any good horse camps?

What things should I bring to horse camp for free time?
Posted by: | CommentsSo I’m leaving for an overnight, one week horse camp on Sunday. I’m getting really excited because I’m going with my friend, although it sounds like a beginner camp and I’m an intermediate rider. Sadly, you’re not allowed to bring your own horse or pony.
Anyway, I need fun things to do during our free time. Last year, the camp I went to (wasn’t horse camp but the same camp), had lots of free time. The first day I’ll be unpacking during that time, but what should I do the rest of the days?!
We’re not allowed to bring cell phones or iPods, though I like to have my cell phone (off, of course!) just in case of a serious emergency. Or food.
So, I’m bringing Horse-Opoly, a card game called Sleeping Queens, and a normal deck of cards. I was wondering if you had any other ideas of what to do during free time. Oh, by the way, I’m 14.
Thank you! ![]()
Well, I’m already bringing swimsuits, but we have assigned swim time for our group. I need things to do when we’re stuck in our “camp area”.
Should i get my daughter a horse?
Posted by: | CommentsMy daughter is 11 years old and she leases a horse at her barn. The horse she leases is the oldest horse at the barn (25) and the toughest to ride. She can walk (half seat, two point sitting) trot (half seat, two point, sitting, posting) canter (sitting, half seat, two point) and jump small fences. This summer she is going to an overnight riding camp in Maine. Her instructor says she is very good. Do you think I should get her one?
She has been begging me
She has been riding for a year and a half
