I’m going to a 2 week photography camp in New York, and I can go to either Manhattan or Brooklyn. I’m wondering which one has a better street life and which one would be better for a photographer. Please answer with detail explaining your answer, and no biased opinions please!

I want to camp either north, south, or west of Ny City. Without traveling crazy far. Does anyone have a good site that I can go to with great scenery and is pretty large?
or in New jersye or Even Connecticut (I could take the Bridgeport or Mystic Feries from Long Island (That is where I am from))

I have seen some long R.V units parked in Brooklyn that you could tell were not City owned, and they got away with it. Does anyone know the official rules for parking a small Van conversion type R.V. of class B smaller van R.V. in New York in the Midtown area of central park on the streets?
