We don’t know were to camp now! we want to go somewhere ‘forest like’ but not tooo far away, but all of them have fire restrictions!!!!! were stuck with elephant butte-.- we dont want to go there, so now what. please give us any campsite that are forest like, and thank-you so much:)

No smart @ss answers, please. I had a friend that just went but they aren’t from the US, so I’m just not sure. We are in our late 20′s and early 30′s – guy and girl. Thanks!

Where is there good Abert’s squirrel hunting on public lands in northern New Mexico?

I live in North Carolina and hunt eastern gray and fox squirrel. I have family in the Albuquerque area that I would like to visit in the fall and shoot some Abert’s. One can get a 4 day, non-resident small game license for $30 plus $10 for public lands. I did not realize you could hunt in a wilderness with a rifle. I thought only bows were allowed there.
