Question by : Is this more proof of misandry coming out of North Dakota?
You may or may not know it, but North Dakota is going through something of an oil boom lately…and as a result, the state is awash in cash from oil. Of course you have oil companies arriving, and with them comes workers. And those workers often are housed in remote locations, often in camps built by the oil companies, with their revenue, so that the workforce has reasonable access to the work site, and also reasonable access to other infrastructure for when they have off time!

Remember Caleb Warner, the University of North Dakota student who was expelled and banned from the University for three years after being accused of sexual assault by a female student who he claimed he had consensual sex with? Remember how the police investigated and found that she had lied, and apparently she is now a fugitive as she has not turned herself in to authorities to answer for the charge of filing a false police report?

Well now, community after community in North Dakota are passing ordinances to ban what they specifically call “man camps.” And who are spearheading this campaign? It seems like it’s female politicians in these small communities. Take for instance who is leading the charge in Almont, North Dakota.

“We would lose the quality of life here,” (City Auditor Lynne) Jacobson said. “We like our quiet little town. It’s not that we don’t want people moving into our community — we do,” she said. “We just don’t want to be inundated with oil workers.”

“We would like someone to turn the school into a steakhouse, or apartments so families could move in,” (Council Member Gretchen) Feland said. “We really don’t want a bunch of men living in a building all together.”

Fascinating, isn’t it? A young man loses his post secondary education because of a false accusation…and even when compelling new facts are presented, his case will not be heard. Now, oil companies are trying to extract oil in North Dakota…and the objection of local politicians is that they don’t want the workers working and sleeping in their community.

Seems like North Dakota has an even bigger problem with institutional misandry than most other jurisdictions in the USA, no?

My views are a little more refined than that!

Nothing I present is by chance…nothing I present is by accident. If you don’t understand the problem with a community in the USA telling citizens of the USA that it doesn’t want them because it prefers families to “a building full of men,” then it is no surprise that you didn’t follow my point.
@ Old’s Cool: Maybe the better question is how would this small community accommodate a building full of families (which they want) instead of a building full of men? They’ve made the point that, were these families, they would be fine…so their claim that the community would be overwhelmed by this is nothing more than selective logic! Would they have gotten away with it if the people moving into this building that was purchased by the oil field owners had been African American? Would they have had a problem if the workers were all women?

And the rape case wasn’t in Montana…it was in North Dakota. The accuser is wanted by the police in Grand Forks, North Dakota!

A Life Changing Decision

All throughout the world, people experience different types of obstacles, there’s always a cause and effect, for each action. The decisions that I made molded me into the person who I am today. Like for example my junior year I had to move to a different state, which affected my basketball career. It made me realize, “There are more important things in life that must come first.” I was just beginning my junior year at Hillcrest high school. Having a solid resume of basketball under my belt, I had no clue what awaited me, until half way through my junior year. All along I had been training during the summer, attending basketball camps, team practices, open gym play. Leading into the offseason, I found myself in a state of tranquility and happiness. I felt privileged, that I was an upperclassman; I had proven myself time and time again. I would definitely start on Junior Varsity and split starting duties as shooting guard on Varsity. A week or so later, our first home game would begin on a Friday night and I was pumped up. That day after school, walking home from practice, my father made a big decision that tore my heart into pieces. Not analyzing the situation at them time, I got upset and questioned my father, “Why do we have to move to Claremore Oklahoma?” He sat me down gently, and said, “Son, this is how I provide for you. If I don’t work to put food on the table, then who will? Now that I was able to think things out, I felt horrible, because there are more important things to do in life. “In life we make sacrifices, in order to prosper, and lead a healthy and fruitful life.” For that, I thank my father for one of the most important lessons in my life.

I really enjoy camping outdoors, but I can’t stand when I get to the campsite and realize that there’s literally a million more tents right on top of me. I like when your in an isolated campsite and no other tents in site. I’ve only ever found this in Yellowstone when you can backpack to certain campgrounds. To me this is real camping and much more enjoyable. I’m hoping there’s a name for this I can look up, I tried private camping…didn’t work. OR if you can give me some places in upstate New York that have this option would also help.

I have getting solar panels from these solar lights at Walmart. Well some of them are broken, but the solar panels are still in good shape. So I wanting to put the together to maked a large solar panel big en ought to power a laptop
If you can how do you solder them together? Do you link them together just like a double A’s?
