Q&A: Will the democrats lose in November?
Posted by: | CommentsQuestion by : Will the democrats lose in November?
I honestly believe they have a great chance of losing. I won’t deny it. Many democrats will NOT be voting for democrats.
However…is it sensible to predict that many [but not all] conservatives, especially on the far right, are endangering their own party?
I’d like to make it clear I don’t perceive this to be the ENTIRETY of the Tea Party ideal.
But signs like this are overwhelmingly popular at the tea parties, and the outcry against signs like these, by the tea party leaders, has been weak or nonexistent.
Birtherism – “President Obama is not an American citizen.”
Christian opposition – “President Obama is the AntiChrist.”
And, from Pastor Stephen Anderson in Arizona:

GOP candidate questions Islam as a religion:
Arizona “Immigration” laws.
30 Republicans vote against Al Franken’s “Anti-Rape” Bill.
The AR Bill came in response to a female employee of Haliburton, who, on the job, was gang-raped, then locked in a storage unit for three days. She had signed paperwork, which, in the fine print, explained that she would not be supplied with an attorney under any circumstances by the company [incident took place overseas by non-American rapists, therefore a trial could not exactly be held in America on the case], She told her supervisors of the incident…they did nothing.
Franken responds to this incident by proposing a measure to PREVENT such companies from barring an employee’s right to a court-oriented response to their own victimization, or if not, then to shut them down completely, should such risks be imposed on women and other potential victims.
Later, Republicans successfully catered in the end of ACORN, an organization that helped persuade impoverished voters to vote, and other such causes in favor of the poor/middle class. The voting fraud incident of ACORN happened as a result of several people making a joke of the voting process, and at their own volition, filling out fake voting cards.
Many conservative politicians are opposed to the building of the mosque, yet they voted against extra health insurance benefits for 9/11 responders.
Michele Bachmann claims that Census workers are dangerous, comparing any risk to their visits to the “rounding up” of Japanese Americans, into detention camps, during WW!!.
Rush Limbaugh makes negative, racially-motivated statements on a regular basis. Also some very absurd Nazi-related statements that would make even the most intelligent of republicans, who still insist there is socialism in the government, die with laughter.
Glen Beck accuses the President of “racism,” and a “deep seated hatred of white people and the white culture,” while, in between statements, claims he DOESN’T feel that Obama is a racist, yet cannot explain his definition of the “white culture” in an interview, and accuses Katie Couric of setting traps.
Beck also screamed “get off my phone, you little pinhead,” at the top of his lungs, to a caller who challenged his many assertions that Health Care Reform is a socialist/communist/fascist/Marxist plot against the American people.
Opposition to Health Care Reform as a whole, including such rumors of “death panels,” “pulling the plug on Grandma,” and other still unproven claims, while none of these opponents dared to question Medicare.
Rand Paul criticizes the Civil Rights Act, claiming that American business owners should be allowed to choose who they serve.
I’m not sure he weighed in on the fact that if a restaurant owner decides that he or she does not want to serve blacks or Jews, and is allowed to act on those feelings, what is to stop that from the racist public transit system owners from wanting the same right, or the school administrations, or the automechanics, or the post offices, or just about ANY public service that is currently required by law to serve all of us without special preference?

And the list is MUCH longer, but these are just a few of my favorites.
Has anyone taken notice of this?
Am I the only one who will NOT be voting Republican come November, or…ever?

Not the White House. And most likely not much of the Senate or the House thanks to the Tea Party

Where is a good place to go camping in NY during November?
Posted by: | CommentsI would prefer a very naturual place where you can hike in and set up a campsite anywhere. Looking for a very large park that is wild and maybe had fishing available.
Weather forecasts are clear and sunny to partly sunny ranging from 9-56 degrees Fahrenheit with no severe wind. I’ve never been camping in cold weather with a 5 and 3 year old. Been told that the GC is beautiful in fall. Any advice?
