Archive for parked

I wanna know if its legal to sleep in an RV that is parked on the street in California. There is this RV parked on the street that i have never seen before and I started seeing it a few weeks ago…And I don’t think they were originally from my area. So I wanna know if its legal for them to do that?
I saw people comin in and out of there as if they lived there and never seen them go into any of the house around here…

So for a couple of months now my neighbors have had a large RV parked in a public grass area used for parking for a couple of families around it. The RV takes up the majority of this space and leave only room for two more cars and one of these spaces is taken up by their car. What can I do to finally get my neighbors to move their RV because asking them about it does nothing.

Do they mostly use gasoline powered generators, or LP gas powered generators, or what?

I am considering moving back in with my parents. My parents have a 30×40 heated/cooled shop building with a large roll up door. I am considering purchasing a pop-up camper to park in their shop. I wouldn’t be living full time in it. I would just use it to for my own sleeping quarters and personal space. Is this okay?

There’s a spot in rural Ontario we drive by sometimes that has a decent-sized grouping of trailers. Not ‘trailer park’-type trailers, but what’re often referred to as Winnebagos. Some are rather wee.

Given that it’s by the water, we figured it was a seasonal thing.

Nope. Still there in the snow, with signs of current occupation.

Is that even particularly economical? It seems to me there’d be a lot of unique costs to living like that. The need, for one, to shop frequently while living in the sticks. (Nearest grocery store is +/- 1/2hr away.)

I assume there’re hook-ups for things there given the density in just the one area — what sort of services would there be?

It doesn’t have the expected “Such-n-Such RV Park” sign or any details out front.

Really odd to see a crammed-in mini-community like that. Given how easy it is to see from a not unused highway, I don’t think they’re there illegally.

Any insights on how living there works out?

I have a camper van that I plan on living in for awhile, and i plan on parking it on a public street every day and night while i live in it. I dont need the hookups or anything, just a place to come “home” to every night and sleep in before i go off to work the next day. Is it illegal for me to do this? Im going to move the van every morning and night to change its location, but it will still always remain around a certain block of streets and apartments and look as if its just another car who belongs to someone living in a nearby apartment.

thoughts? do you think i can get away with it? There is a parking enforcement officer that drives through hourly to make sure people arent illegally parked.

Hi All,

I have a dilemma as a landlord how to deal with a new situation in a triplex in Canada:

One of the tenants called me earlier to inform me the other tenant has purchased a camper trailer (just the trailer, does not have the truck yet!) and parked it on the Driveway located on the right side of the property.

None of the tenants own/have a car and their old leases do not include parking space. However, their visitors including myself used to park their car on that driveway where he put his trailer.

I did not call the tenant who owns the trailer yet. The tenant who called me is not even sure when or if the other tenant will purchase a truck for the trailer. (he told them he will purchase a truck later and that he can park it there)

How would you deal with the situation: allow him to park the trailer there (and maybe truck later)? I mean what can he do with it now(!?)

On the other hand he did not ask me permission or even tell me about it in advance(!)

Any advice how to deal with this situation would be appreciated..

THANKS.

I mean they are in the infield and since i have never been either in the infield for a race or in a drivers motor home i was just wondering if you think they can get a good night sleep with all the activity around them. I am assuming there is a curfew of some type but i may be wrong.
