Is there anywhere a person can go and dig for dinosaur bones free?
Posted by: | CommentsI google searched “where can I dig for dinosaur bones” and got unlimited results from people who want to sell “fossil tours”.
1. I don’t want to go with a group of people.
2. I don’t want to pay for it.
3. If I find something spectacular, I want to keep it.
All these sites have a limit of what you can keep for a day – like $50 worth of fossils.
Ridiculous!
Isn’t there anywhere I can go out by myself, and just camp out, and spend the day looking for fossils without all that hassle?
I live in West Tennessee. There aren’t really any good dino-fossils here, because during the Cretacious era, this was an ocean.
Small car for outdoor person living in colorado?
Posted by: | CommentsHey so I’m looking at getting a new car that is smaller than my current ford escape, but has better gas mileage. I’ve been looking at the Honda Fit and ford fiesta, being able to get at least 30mpg. So how do you think these two cars would do in the outdoors of colorado either driving to the ski resorts or car camping? Thanks

Weight-distributing hitch – can it be used by one person?
Posted by: | CommentsI asked this question on a forum but didn’t get a lot of answers, so I thought maybe someone here could help.
I’m looking for a vehicle that can tow a small (RV) trailer. In checking the tow ratings on Camping Life’s page for various vehicles I see “Weight-distributing hitch required” mentioned a lot. I really don’t know much about hitches so I asked a mechanic about these and he told me they take two people to hitch (or maybe unhitch). Since I’m going to be traveling alone this is a definite issue.
The few people on the forum who answered my question said I probably wouldn’t need one of these hitches. But I’m concerned about insurance issues if the owner’s manual says it’s required and I don’t have one and get in an accident. I want to tow safely, for myself and the other drivers I share the road with. But if I can’t manage one of these hitches alone then I’ll have to find a tow vehicle that doesn’t need one. (They seem to be mostly required for FWD or 4WD vehicles.)
Can a person still move to Alaska and build a cabin?
Posted by: | CommentsCan a person with modest means, still buy a moderate size piece of land near Anchorage, and build a house or a cabin, without being restricted by build time-frame restrictions and land use restrictions? And can you still live mostly off of the land and with a low paying job to supplement what the land cannot provide? Providing, of course that the rigors of life in alaska are well understood and planned for. Also can one legally live in a travel trailer on their own land while building a house, while not under any time restrictions? Here in most of the lower 48 states, its illegal to do this, or at best its legal only based on time restraints, i.e. you have to build a house within a year etc. But what if it takes me 5 years to build the house I want a little at a time?
Thanks.

Posted by: | Commentswhen i was four or five i saw this boy[[im a girl]]. i thought nothing of it but a few years later, when i was 9, i sawa him agaion. although i didnt remember what he looked like, something, either my heart or my head told me it was him. i just got a feeling it was. i felt like i was scared, like one second u feel like your gonna puke, but the next second, you dont.
just this past week [[now im 14]] me and my family went camping and within the 1st 10 or 15 minutes, i saw three boys, around my age, walking down the camp road, carrying an intertube [[we were right by a lake]]
something told me again that it was him.
i was freaked out and i couldnt make eye contact. it has been the first time in 4 or 5 years since ive seen him and up until then, i had forgot about him.
my two sisters and i went for a walk that next day and we walked by where he was camping. we brought al;ong my sister’s dog, IM ABOUT TO RUN OUT OF ROOM. HOLD ON.
so anyways, my sisters dog started running the other way as soon as we got in eyesight of him.
i looked at him and this time, he was staring right back. i tried to look away, and i eventually did, but i could seee he was staring at me, still. [[and im not very attractive or pretty so that was out of the question]]
as we finished our walk, i saw he had a yellow suv in the driveway, and after we left the campgrounds yeterday, i keep on seeing yellow suv’s everywhere.

my mom says it’s like, my soul mate er whatever.
my dad says its a coincidence that i think its the same person.
my stepmom has no comment. and my sisters i havnt told yet.
all i want to know is why i keep seeing him, if anyone else has experienced it, and what does it mean?
[[and i know its not my imagination because the feelings are unbearable when i see him and i know its the same person.]]
How do I convince my son to be a good person?
Posted by: | CommentsMy son is 8 years old, and he is the most important thing in my life. I want him to go on to be a wonderful person, but lately he has developed habits that make me think he is going to grow up to be a menace to society. This all started about four weeks ago, and I’m at my wit’s end. I’ve tried to take him to church counselling, and I even gave in and took him to a therapist, but the therapist told him there was nothing wrong with him!
My son has always been special. He’s smart as a whip, and he is very good at making friends. I thought he was going to be quite the stud! Little girls are always following him around, and he gets along so well with women. He’s a real charmer! But I think all of his female friends might be a bad influence on him.
About a month ago, I walked into his room to find him staring at a picture of Zac Efron. His eyes were locked on that picture, and I asked him what he was doing, and he said ‘Daddy, can I marry this man?’. I was shocked!
My son is turning gay! I don’t know where I went wrong. I took him camping and we play catch together every weekend. I don’t know if it’s my fault or his mother’s, after all, she did convince me to let him take up playing the flute.
I thought it was just a fluke, but last night, even after I took him to counselors and we joined a devout Southern Baptist church, he told me he wants to do ballet with his friend Kirsten! My son, who I thought I would take to The Game every weekend whenever possible, wants to dance ballet.
I’ve been researching ways to correct bad behavior in children, and I found a therapist in my area who does something called ‘rebirthing’. It sounds kinda fruity to me, but I’ll do anything at this point! Please help!
