Military Cyber School Question?
Posted by: | CommentsHi,
In 10th grade, I was going to a private, Catholic school. Half-way through, they were discriminating based on who played sports, and they actually didn’t accept some of my assignments because I didn’t play sports. Starting the second semester, I transfered to the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School and completed half of 10th, 11th, and 12th grade in six months with straight A’s at the age of 16 (I’ll be turning 17 in January). I should be receiving a diploma by the end of July. I called a Marine recruiter and he asked what school I went to and I said PA Cyber Charter School and he said that the Marines (or even the Army) stopped accepting cyber school graduates. I called MANY Army and Marine recruiters and all of them gave me different answers; some said that I can’t (period), some said I can, and others said I can’t right now, but in the future I can. I was a little confused because my academic supervisor assured me people have successfully entered the Military (both in the past and recently). PA Cyber is also accredited 100% by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to be a public high school. Many of the graduates even go on to Ivy League colleges. Can anyone explain to me if PA Cyber’s diploma will qualify me in Tier 1 or Tier 2? I tried contacting many recruiters and they all gave me different answers. Thanks for your help and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
If it matters, and I’m sure it does, I’m completely qualified otherwise. I have no health problems (I never smoked, drank, or did drugs), no criminal record, and I’m physically fit. Now I can’t do 100 push-ups, but I can do around 50 with relative ease. My mile is in the 5-6 minute range (it varies) if I sprint, but at a nice, steady pace, it’s about 7:00. The real impressive thing about me is that I do A LOT of hiking. Just the other week, I did a 40 mile hike in about 11 hours with a 30 pound pack (not too heavy, but it was only my camping gear). I took one half an hour break around mid-way to check my gear and call my parents to tell them that I’m at the mid-way mark. Along with this, I have nothing that is “extremist” either, such as tattoos or piercings.
Thanks.

Land Contract question (Michigan).?
Posted by: | CommentsWe have a seller that is willing to take zero down on a 30 year land contract. The property is 30 acres (2 15 acre parcel’s), 1 parcel has a mobile home and a pole barn and the other parcel has no buildings. The total sales price is $164,800.00 and the monthly payment would be $1450.00 a month which included property taxes ($1800.00 a year), home owners insurance ($700.00 a year) and interest of 8.5%. If we can convince the seller to take lets say $800.00 a month with a 30 year balloon, what would the balloon payment be? I have looked for an amortization calculator that allows calculations for a 30 year balloon but can’t find one anywhere online. Any help would be appreciated so we can make our dreams come true. We love camping and dream of owning and operating our own campground one day and we are perfectly content with building one from scratch.
Mary in the tiny village of Onsted, Michigan
The town of Mullica hill seems like it is right for us. Schools and just the feel of the place seems right. Also I will be working in Thorofare and It’s a close commute. Wondering about activities for kids. Sports, scouting etc. How close to the beach you would be. We like the outdoors. How far would we be from camping, hiking, skiing and fishing? Also how’s the weather generally.? Does it ever snow or should I dump my snowblower? We are relocating from Michigan.
Urgent Sneaker Question !?
Posted by: | CommentsHey there,
In a nutshell, I got hired at a summer camp at new york city and there is a dress code of shorts, sneakers, and the camps’ shirt. However I am having quite the sneaker dilemma.
I have regular sneakers which are new and I am still stretching out a bit because they rub the back of my ankles a lot. I also have running sneakers but they are kind of “worn-looking”. I bought these shoes/sneakers today http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/co/converse-mens-all-starandreg-black-low.gif, how ever I am not sure if they are appropriate. I will not be playing or running with kids all day, I will be in an office, but the dress code applies to all staff. What is your opinion, are they okay or not?
Thanks So Much!

Statistics question : find y= a + bx?
Posted by: | CommentsFind y=a+bx statistics?
It is thought that prehistoric Indians did not take their best tools, pottery, and household items when they visited higher elevations for their summer camps. It is hypothesized that archaeological sites tend to lose their cultural identity and specific cultural affiliation as the elevation of the site increases. Let x be the elevation (in thousands of feet) for an archaeological site in the southwestern United States. Let y be the percentage of unidentified artifacts (no specific cultural affiliation) at a given elevation. Suppose that the following data were obtained for a collection of archaeological sites in New Mexico:
x: 5.25 5.75 6.25 6.75 7.75
y: 29 49 57 86 76
Find “A” for the equation of the least-squares line y= a +bx.
I know the answer is -104.350 but I don’t know how to get to that answer
question about camping and the per day fish limit at the Colorado River, Nevada?
Posted by: | CommentsWe want to plan a camp and fish trip down to the Colorado River below Laughlin (we live in Vegas). I read that the limit is 5 per day, so what happens if you catch the fish and cook and eat it there while camping? Is that part of the limit? Or could you fish the night before for dinner, cook it, and then in the morning catch another 5 to take back home?
Also does anyone know of any camp grounds down there? Do you have to pay to park and camp? I can’t seem to find any camp grounds online
Thanks
