So me and my family are going through a major financial situation. First off, my dad had to take out a $1500 loan because I rear ended someone (keep in mind, I live in Missouri, it was pitch black and pouring down rain), they’re not mad at me at all and I knew the guy I rear ended so he didn’t turn it in or anything.. Thank God. Second, my mom recently has been going to many types of doctors because she is slowly loosing vision in her left eye, and we can’t afford to pay off the bills to see the doc, so shes gotten no treatment. Anyways, she was pulling out of a parking lot, and didn’t see a Pepsi truck next to her, and the whole left side of her car slid across the corner of the Pepsi truck. There were no damages to the truck so they didn’t take it to the insurance, but now her car is damaged (still running, just can’t open the left side back door), and right when she was about to head to work a couple days ago, her battery died… Today my dad just spent $200 on a new battery.. and to make things worse, I was on my way to my softball practice today, and right when I got on the highway, my car broke down.. We can’t figure out whats wrong either and were gonna have to tow it off the highway.. And on top of all this, I am a competitive softball player, trying to make it to Div I or II. And, trust me, that’s not cheap. I feel so bad for all of this, like it’s my fault and I have to do something. My dad said I can pay him back by just living my dream (which is playing Div I softball). Yes, I know, I have the most amazing father in the world. I really feel like I should do more now, though. I do have a job that pays $3.65 an hour + tip out (which averages to about $8.65 an hour). And right now, due to my horrible attempt at trying to save my money, I have a total of $.48 to my name. Every bit of money I get is going toward something in softball that my dad usually pays for (camps, tournaments, hitting lessons). And I REALLY want to be able to help him pay for gas too. I feel like a selfish horrible daughter… And I need more money to help my family. I can’t get another job, because with softball, that’s pretty much like having 3 jobs.. I need something convenient that could help me get money. Anything from like winning money (maybe a race??) or something like avon (I’m 16 years old so I couldn’t do that even if I wanted to). Any ideas? Keep in mind, I have softball conditioning mon-thur in the mornings, practice every Wednesday, League and lessons every tuesday, and a tournament EVERY weekend this summer. Plus, the days I don’t have softball, I work. Please help!
