Live in Portland Oregon, want to leave to go camping tonight… we were going to go to Oswald West but it’s closed. Ideal place will have a lake, river, or ocean view and in walking distance, and is a “hike in” sort of place rather than a “camp next to your car” sort of place. Help!!? Thanks!

A nice, quiet stay in the forest When Jeff Robinson waded into the Little Missouri River just after daybreak Sunday morning, he knew right away that this camping trip wasn’t going to end quite as planned. Read more on The Lafayette Daily Advertiser

My best buddy is getting married this August and we want to take him on one last “Man Weekend” this summer before he gets hitched. The ideal weekend would be tent camping, hiking, drinking and just shootin’ the shit around a camp fire but I don’t to have to deal with quiet hours and all that BS. I don’t plan on being obnoxious by any means but I also don’t want to get kicked out for laughing too loudly past 10pm. Does anyone know of a campground in New Hampshire, preferably the White Mountain area, that might work for me?

We have a couple above us that is either fighting (wrestling), jumping around or throwing furniture and laughing, screaming ALL hours of the day and night. There is only one person above us, no one next door on one side, and one older single quiet lady on the other. So we KNOW It’s them. We stopped by their apt. a couple of times and there was no answer. We made clips of the noise and went to the apt. manager (we have only been here 3 mos) and told them about it. The manager gave them a written warning. Nothing stopped. The mngmt told us they would not to tell them it’s us and told us not to go talk to the neighbors, to just tell the office and call the night time security when we hear it again so a 3rd party can witness it .Don’t know why the clips of the screaming weren’t good enough. But we have called security and they can’t hear anything from the parking lot (most noise is the banging on our ceiling and the screams through our walls)

We complained one more time to the office and the neighbor came down to our apt. to find out if it was us. My roommate told him we have heard them make noise, but haven’t said anything. He asked us to come up and tell them if it happens again and they shook hands.

The last 3 weeks, they have been throwing cig butts and gum on our patio. Now, we have had it. We are going to talk to them ourselves instead of this going through the office crap. Everytime we get up (woken up at 3, 4 5am) to call security again, they quiet down. We can hear them having sex, the bed banging, the screaming. It is so disturbing and NOT peaceful at all.
If they are not home when we go talk to them, I have written a polite letter just asking them to make sure their trash doesn’t get thrown on our balcony. I have everything logged, all the dates/times of the noise and pics of the stuff they threw, etc. It is just that they are lying to the office and without this 3rd party, the office can’t do anything. Should we call the police if it doesn’t get better? We don’t want any problems- but can’t live like this either. I am crossing my fingers that we can just talk to them and this ends. Suggestions?

it can be in Massachusetts or southern New Hampshire…
me and 3 other adults are going, I’m trying to find one
that has spaced out sites so there’s no worrying about
the neighbors.. preferably with a lake for fishing and a
pool…if anyone knows of any like this please tell!

The Cummins Onan Hybrid Quiet Diesel (HQD) system is not just a generator. Its not just an inverter. Its a revolutionary new RV electrical system that pulls power from the coach batteries to supplement the Power Unit (formerly called the generator) to meet peak demands. This allows the HQD to employ a smaller, lighter, quieter Power Unit. You get high-quality, pure sine-wave electricity from a power system that is 50% quieter and up to 20% more fuel-effi cient than a typical generator. Only the HQD combines a Power Unit, Inverter, Transfer Switch and coach batteries into one cohesive system that automatically and seamlessly powers your motor home effi ciently and effectively. Best of all, you never have to think about it. Just press auto and the HQD runs itself. It senses power loads and draws from the Power Unit and coach batteries as needed to keep your air conditioning and appliances running smoothly. The HQD can be programmed with campground quiet hours so you dont have to worry about turning off your generator or maintaining your battery charge level. Next time youre in the market for a motor home, tell your dealer you want the best value and performance in your electrical system. Tell them you want the Cummins Onan Hybrid Quiet Diesel system. I’m a southern guy born and raised in Louisiana. Don’t get me wrong, I love the south. I’m just tired of the noise of these bigger cities. Personality wise I’m an ISTJ and borderline between type A and B (if I wasn’t to darn competitive I’d be a type B). I LOVE running especially trails, as well as swimming and biking (triathlete). I’ve always been a religious conservative but not the activist type. As far as weather goes I don’t really care I’ve seen +2 feet of snow (lived in Oklahoma for 3 years) and many a day over 100deg. I’m always looking for some new adventure or excitement. I’m a real sucker for the great outdoors (camping, backpacking, fishing, ect…). What are some places I would enjoy? I’ll be working in healthcare if that’s of any use.

Taking a road trip to northern California in early june and was deciding on camping in Big Sur for two nights. Have never camped here and looking at all the websites and reviews has me a bit overwhelmed. Does any one have any good experiences with a quiet secluded, and beautiful site? We will not be on the weekend, so i think they should be less crowded, but we definitely want a camping experience. Was looking at Limekiln state park but the website says its currently closed to the public! also thinking of Bottchers Gap… thoughts??
