Entry from: Rome, Italy Entry Title: “Rome, Italy” Entry: “The last 3 days of our trip, we spent our time in Rome. We got there late at night on Wednesday and then spent all of Thursday and Friday touring the city. Quick side story about Rome… to save money, we decided to stay in a CAMPER (that’s right, like a mini mobile home!) instead of a hotel. It was significantly cheaper than a hotel, and still better than a hostel because we did not have to share our room (or camper for that matter) with anyone. Well, turns out our camper in Rome was by far the nicest place we stayed at. We stayed in one-star hotels in Venice and Florece, and they were just kind of old, dirty, scary, AND we had to SHARE a bathroom. Our camper, on the other hand, was great! It was clean, we had our own private bathroom and shower, a free shuttle bus from the train station to our camper, and there was a restaurant, bar, and swimming pool all located on the campsite. Plus it was the cheapest ($45 a night)! We highly recommend Tiber Camping to anyone planning on travelling abroad www.campingtiber.com We spent every night at their bar and met so many other people who were our age doing the exact same thing, it was great! Okay, now on to what we actually did… On Thursday we spent the day touring the Vatican. We heard that it opened

I am traveling outside the US for the first time (besides going to Mexico in kindergarden) with school. Our teacher said that most of the time we will be with a tour guide but we will have a few hours in the afternoon just wandering around. I know a little spanish and latin and a few words in italian… Will I be completely lost or do most people speak a little english? Thanks!
