When we were at Custer State Park last summer, they had rubber fish that you could put paint on and then lay the fish on a sheet of paper and have a nice fish print.

My friend’s 18th birthday party is Sept. 6th. I don’t want to ask her what she wants (so she isn’t expecting something in-case I can’t get her it). I’ll tell a little about her:
Shes really tall
Shes on the swim team
Shes senior editor of the yearbook
Shes in our Physics class
She loves to talk
She likes to camp
She has two sisters

I was thinking of getting her a giant glow-in-the-dark rubber ducky and a few little ones but, I don’t think that would be a good gift for a 18th birthday (maybe a 16th). I don’t just want to give her cash or a gift card because I’d like to get her something thoughtful. Here’s why I thought about getting her the rubber duckies:
Her invitation had a duck on it, she swims, and her party is Hawaii/Beach themed.
Rubber duckies are too childish, right?
I don’t know what to get her. Oh, and I don’t want to spend a ton of money on the gift. (I’m low on cash right now) Should I get her clothes or other accessories? Like necklaces and such? If so, what kind should I look for? Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

Is a UV protectant needed? Or just keeping it clean (and caulked if needed) and what product for cleaning it?
I’ve researched online and get everything from using Comet to water to clean and then 303 aerospace protectant once clean.
jayt: Thanks!! Seems you know your RVs! Purple wha?? (for those black streaks. I have ‘Full Time Choice-RV Care’ Used it on RV sides and yes then rinse thoroughly with water.

I am going fishing for the first time in a pond out in Houston, Texas… Should I use live worms as bait OR are rubber lures just as good?

I don’t know what sort of fish they have at the pond. I do know it is a park with a pond (out in Katy–west houston)… But, in general– in your opinion– are rubber lures as effective?

First let me say that I’m scheduled to take my tech license on the 17NOV08. Now I do a lot of camping and even more hiking around the Delaware Gap (PA/NJ RT80), and I haven’t gotten any type of radio since I know little to nothing, but I know I want VX7R and FT817. See I have to be able to carry my things Digital SLR Camera, Food, tent etc., and of course a radio.

Question is: I don’t plan on Doing HF (which I believe its long
distance contacts) or CW (Morse code?) I just want to talk locally
maybe simplex (radio to radio) or use repeaters (big antenna).

Is there like a standard channel (Freq) that I can go to regardless
of where (what state) I’m in. Like on cb 19=truckers 9=emergency?

Do I need to upgrade my BNC antenna on FT817 or is that one fine?

p.s.: Sorry for sounding like a dummy on this, but the stuff in
parenthesis is what I understand it to be, I figure someone will
correct me if wrong.
