Up for sale is a 1985 Fleetwood Southwind motorhome. 27′ powered by a 6.2 Diesel chevy V8. This is the same engine that gets 22mpg in a full size chevy truck. This RV gets 15mpg and just so you understand a normal RV this size with a GAS V8 usually gets around 7 MPG. Has the Chevy TURBO400. The only chevy tranny solid enough for RVs. I drove it all over the country in the last year working on Permaculture projects. This RV is ready for a road trip right now. It has 7 new tires ($1400) Full alignment ($150) New Starter & extra bracket so starter will never break off engine ($250) Newer Large Awning installed last summer ($500) 2 new Deep Cycle batteries ($200) New alternator ($150) New fuel pump ($150) 8 Glow Plugs ($250) 2 performance mufflers ($250) Roof fully RE-Sealed and painted last summer ($400) New RV ONLY window wipers ($100) Kenwood CR player with remote & 2 6.5 speakers ($200) New super Heavy duty welded on tow Hitch that will tow anything ($600) Tranny service ($100) Fuel filters/Lines so you can run BIO-DIESEL ($100) THIS RV HAS NO LEAKS IN ROOF & HAS NO DAMAGE IN THE ROOF OR FLOOR FROM PREVIOUS LEAKS!
