Where are secluded campsites east of Oklahoma City?
Posted by: | CommentsAnywhere between Oklahoma City and Chattanooga? I love Chilhowee in TN. It is great tent camping 7 miles off the main road and no city lights. I’m looking to go camping with some friends. We will be driving in from different areas of the country. Not looking for back country camping, just something far off the road and away from town.
Thanks!
Secluded car camping in Colorado?
Posted by: | CommentsMy husband and I want to go car camping in Colorado. We want to bring our 3 well behaved dogs (a min pin,a boxer and a vizsla). Though they are well behaved, with only the 2 of us we want to go somewhere VERY secluded. We don’t want to camp next to well travailed trails, and don’t want to see anyone else camping. We want to drive to the spot, and feel lost in the woods! Walking distance to some water would be great! Any ideas??? Please HELP!!!
Looking for secluded camping in Washington?
Posted by: | CommentsWe want a place that’s kinda private, like with the campsites nicely spaced out, preferably near the beach or a lake. Trails would be cool too. Activities! and yeah. So, privacy is definitely the most important thing though, I do not want to have to interact with anybody should I want to be alone, if I can see my neighbors, that isn’t even camping, I mean come on guys. And it’d be cool if we didn’t have to take this huge hike to get there, seeing as how we’ve only got a few people and a bunch of food and stuff.
Where is a great secluded place for camping in Arizona?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m trying to find a place in the mountains to get away from the summer heat, to be near a lake or river so I can fish (preferably have the fishing area right by or in my campsite), and where I would hardly see any other people?
Somewhere in the White mountains or near the Mogollon Rim would be ideal.

Where are some good secluded areas to camp around the Tri-State area?
Posted by: | CommentsMy friends and I like to camp whenever we can around the tri-state area. This means NY boarders, poconocs, S. Jersey. We usually end up talking and laughing around the fire until 1-2am. This can be a problem at family campgrounds where curfews are usually around 11pm. We don’t cause any trouble or anything, just like to stay up and enjoy the crackle of the fire.
Last year, we were at Shenandoah Park in VA, and we found a place that rented out a secluded cabin in middle of the park. We had to park and walk about 1/2 mile before reaching our cabin. It was great, no one around us and it was very private.
I am looking for a similar place around this area. I live in Philly, anything within 2 hrs of driving I can handle. So far, I have been looking into Wharton State park in NJ as they have some primitive campsites. But I want to know what else is out there. Could N. Maryland have anything to offer?
We usually have 5-6 people in the group. We have 2 cars and will pitch tents. Don’t mind walking to our site (within 1 mile or so of our car). Hookups, water, restroom, shower are not important, in fact we would prefer not having it due to the amount of people that will be around us due to this ammentity.
