Okay, a few months back I asked a similar question but my horses behavior has gotten so bad I want to literally shoot him. I know it sounds bad but I cannot take it anymore. Let me introduce you to diesel. Last year a couple months after I bought diesel I went to riding camp in Montana. While there diesel was a perfect horse (but before we went to camp he would pin his ears back when getting on him and sadding him but he never did anything so it wasn’t a big deal). But on the last day we all painted our horses for a little “rodeo” and diesel was just fine with it, he never once put his ears back while I painted him. But when I was done painting the last blue ring around his leg, I stepped back to take a look at my work and diesel reared back and bit me on the arm. After that I was a little more cautious around him. Yes I did slap him a good one to. But weeks went on and I still had problems with him pinning his ears back so I went to Sam, miss rodeo ND in other words. While there diesel was the PERFECT horse. Never acted up once. But when I got back he was back to his old self. After a while it just became a usual thing so I didn’t pay much attention to it again. Now this week, he has been the worst he has ever been before. I came to SD to stay at a friends for a week before camp because we go to the same camp and everything so I am going to ride with them to camp tomorrow. But anyways, the other day, he kept pawing every time I made him stand still and so I gave him a good kick to get the point across that he needs to stop and then he reared (sorta). He lifted one leg and flung back in a rearing way I guess. But still. Also on the same day, me and my friend were galloping and I pulled back to slow him and he would not stop. He kept running and wouldn’t stop when I pulled back and then finally he store when we reached the fence. Then today I tried lunging him and he drug me and wouldn’t stop at all, and gave me rope burn on my one hand. Please help me…
