Henrys Lake State Park

Located just 15 miles west of Yellowstone National Park, this high mountain lake is the kind of place fishermen dream about. The state park, named after explorer Major Andrew Henry, opens the Thursday before Memorial Day and closes October 31st, weather permitting. The park offers campfire programs and a Junior Ranger program. Anglers fish for cutthroat, brook and rainbow-cutthroat hybrid trout. The park has a modern fish cleaning station near the boat ramp. Camping is at one of 44 sites and there are camping-cabins also available for rent. During winter, information on Henrys Lake can be obtained by calling Harriman State Park. China Camp State Park – 019

China Camp State Park, part of the San Francisco Bay NERR, is an important environmental and historic site. The park has a natural watershed along the shores of San Francisco Bay. Features include an extensive intertidal salt marsh, meadow and oak habitats, that are home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, squirrels and numerous birds. A Chinese shrimp-fishing village thrived on this site in the 1880s. Nearly 500 people, originally from Canton, China, lived in the village. In its heyday, there were three general stores, a marine supply store and a barber shop. Fisherman by trade in their native country, they gravitated to the work they knew best. Over 90% of the shrimp they netted were dried and shipped to China or Chinese communities throughout the US.

Purtis Creek State Park, Texas [Official]

Purtis Creek State Park, about an hour southeast of Dallas, is known as “the best little bass lake in Texas.” In addition to fishing, the park offers swimming, boat rentals and guided paddling tours (check out the beaver dam in this video). People ice fishing and walking their dogs on Lake Marberg at Codorus State Park in Hanover, Pa.The road you see to the right is Rt. 216 This was in Feb. 2010..This really is the best kayak lake around. See my other kayak vids.
