Does the 2001 Chev Suburban 1/2 ton have an adequate transmission cooler?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a 2001 Chev Suburban, 1/2 ton, 5.3 liter V8. I pull a 28′ camper trailer and once in a while when going up a long hill the messenger on the dash tells me the transmission fluid is hot. I pull over and wait a few minutes and it cools down to the point I can go again. Would putting an after-market transmission cooler help?
1987 Chevy Suburban leaking from back after pulling trailer.?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a 87 Suburban that I just noticed a leak coming from the back of the truck by the passenger side wheel. I noticed it after I pulled my camper to the camp site. There was a dark oil looking spot on the ground but smelled like gas. There is also a heavy gas smell around my truck after driving it. Any ideas?
Suburban home entirely on solar power?
Posted by: | CommentsWould it be possible for the average suburban home to function entirely on solar panel energy? This means using heaters in the winter, a/c in the summer, cooking meals, watching tv and using computers. Things that an average family does, nothing outrageous.
PS: I’m not asking for liberal propaganda, I’m asking for an answer to my question. (JJ)
How do you wire a Suburban DSI RV water heater?
Posted by: | CommentsI recently replaced my hot water heater with a Suburban DSI 6-Gal water heater in my RV. How do I wire it up?
I’ve been looking online and can’t find an instruction guide on how to do this (or really any other information on it). It has 1 blue, 1 red, and 1 green wire which I need to hook up but am afraid to touch before I know what they are lol. Could end badly with a gas water heater (lol, j/k)
Thanks!

Old suburban furnace in RV no longer has power PLEASE READ?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a really old Suburban NT30 LP furnace in my 1977 30′ motorhome. It starting running really crappy, like the pilot light would blow out after its cycle and such. Then the blower was getting louder and louder. Then it started clicking on and off, on and off. Now when I turn the heat only thermostat up and down nothing happens. No clicking, or blower kicking on. So would a good first start to be replace the thermostat, for the power purposes, and then work on cleaning out the blower and furnace? That is all I got, any other ideas?
