What Michigan camping areas let you cut down trees and build campsites?

We would like to go camping like the good ol days, no plug ins, no cabins, just us out in the woods. Fishing and camping in a primitive spot. We aren’t afraid to hike, and we can bring a canoe.

Any suggestions?
Alright point taken, I guess I was wondering more about having a fire using downed/dead trees. I didn’t mean to cut down healthy trees. I have been to state parks and all I’ve been to require a firepit or ring of some kind? Which isn’t exactly practical if you plan on hiking to your spot.

Problem with birds, in trees, in my back yard.?

Birds are setting in my patio trees and making a mess all over the cement and lawn furniture. I like birds but not their mess. Is there anything I can spray in the trees to prevent them (the birds) from using my trees as their toilet? I don’t want to hurt the birds or the trees and can’t really afford diapers for all the birds. Thanks

Camping in Calavaras Big Trees?

I’m organizing a church group campout to Calavaras Big Trees SP (California) and have 30+ people from 2-70years old. Does anyone know if the North Grove loop is strolller-passable? One of the families has a 3 year old with medical issues that can’t walk and I don’t want to exclude them. Any other suggested day hikes for some of the more adventurous? Is there accessible fishing or do you need to drive to the river from the North Grove campsite? I heard there was a lake a half hour drive away… is it worth the trip? Any other advice/suggestions on the park would be welcome.
Yep, the reservations were made a while back, but I’m now planning group activities and was hoping for a suggestion of a trail that someone knew for sure was wide enough for the stroller so they could “hike” with us. I was looking at the “easy” 1.5mi. North Grove loop and wondered if any of the Y! bunch had actually been there.
My hubbie is bringing both fly and spinning rods and will trek quite a ways for some solitude but we were wondering if there were any spots where the bank was accesible for the kids.

Wood chips from trees glowing in the dark; has anyone ever experienced this?

When I was camping in Pennsylvania, we chopped up dead trees for firewood. The little wood chips were glowing in the dark, sort of a green-yellowish tint. Has anyone ever seen this? Any idea what would cause this?

what can be done about a neighbors filthy trees? ruining my property? My cars, my patio furniture, my dogs ?

my house is being ruined with sap, these are 2 cigar trees and a nasty chestnut tree. Sap on my dogs, patio furniture, my cars, everything is black and sticky and has bugs on it, my dogs are bringing sap in my house and my floors look like hell…. HELP! what can I do? I live in pennsylvania
