My husband I are planning to go to ALASKA as a graduation gift for me. We have 1 yr to plan this LONG road trip and we think it’d be a great experience. We have exactly 2 weeks to go Alaska and come back. We live in South Texas and we’re planning to take about 2,500dlls, our own vehicle, our own food/ice chest, and We plan to camp wherever we decide to stop for a rest. The goal is to get to Alaska but also to experience Wyoming and Colorado.

What do you think? Is it a good idea? we could probably save more but that’s just an estimate. Mapquest says 74hrs to get there but we’re going to be making stops so i’d say 5 days (120hrs) to get there right?

Is this a good plan or is this insane?

(I’m known to like extreme and crazy things.. so no.. i’d be willing to have n adventure at all costs)

I am looking to go on a camping trip this summer with my boyfriend. I want to know if anyone has gone anywhere in Minnesota that they would suggest. We like to be outdoors and do things like hiking, canoin, and relaxing. We are mainly looking for a campsite with a lot of activities around it to keep us busy.
