Long road trips, Any help would be appreciated for a LONG trip to ALASKA!?
Posted by: | CommentsMy husband I are planning to go to ALASKA as a graduation gift for me. We have 1 yr to plan this LONG road trip and we think it’d be a great experience. We have exactly 2 weeks to go Alaska and come back. We live in South Texas and we’re planning to take about 2,500dlls, our own vehicle, our own food/ice chest, and We plan to camp wherever we decide to stop for a rest. The goal is to get to Alaska but also to experience Wyoming and Colorado.
What do you think? Is it a good idea? we could probably save more but that’s just an estimate. Mapquest says 74hrs to get there but we’re going to be making stops so i’d say 5 days (120hrs) to get there right?
Is this a good plan or is this insane?
(I’m known to like extreme and crazy things.. so no.. i’d be willing to have n adventure at all costs)
