Warmest Ocean Beach camping in WA?
by admin on Friday, July 8th, 2011 | 4 Comments
I have two five year olds who have never seen the Ocean. So I’d like to take them camping at an RV Park on the Ocean beach here in WA. Ocean shores right? But Ocean shore’s is too cold and always windy making it even colder. It’s only 68deg in August which is when we would be going. My question is what’s the best prettiest beach in Washington that has the hottest temps in August? Even if it’s just a little warmer than Ocean shores it would be worth it. Thanks!!!

maybe
Simple: Camp AWAY from the ocean and day-tour beside the ocean beaches. Also, an RV Park is not camping.
Ocean City State Park
148 State Highway 115
Hoquiam, Washington 98550
(360) 289-3553
Millersylvania State Park
12245 Tilley Road S.
Olympia, WA 98512
Olympic National Park
600 East Park Avenue
Port Angeles, WA 98362-6798
(360) 565-3130
68 degrees is the average temp all up and down Washington’s coast it wont matter where you go. If that’s too cold for you rent an rv or trailer. Woodalls campground directory lists everything there is

The warmest ocean beach in Washington is in California!
I like Ocean Shores in spite of the crowd. Camp just a little inland of the dunes and the wind is blocked and it is much warmer. I have been visiting that area since way before I was 5 years old (back in the early 60′s).
As much as I like Ocean Shores, it really isn’t all that scenic. Take the kids on a ferry ride to Whidby Island or one of the other Islands. Lots of good camp grounds throughout the sound islands.
