Who would win a fight between Elton John and George Michael?
Heathrow Airport, 2AM and boy is Elton John tired, the rocket man has just completed a tour of America, including a sell out show in Alabama. Clambering off the plane and into the departure lounge, Elton John is taking none of no one.
George Michael, the tortured genius whose ability to be a clown outside and yet the cunsumate professional in the studio, is also washed up and ready for bed. George comes with a lot of baggage – mentally and physically. The physical aspect is being carried by an employee of the airport who has no revelance to this incident.
Both men await at the baggage carousel for their bag. A pink casket comes back from the crucible of the cremetorium and slips through the curtains. Actually this a pink suitcase slipping from behind the conveyer belt curtains onto the carousel, but there happened to be a retired funeral directory standing watching and to whom this metaphor was all to reminicent of many a camp funeral in reverse.
George makes a move for the pink bag, not noticing Elton John lift it before him. “Speaking as a gay man, that’s my bag” cried George Michael to Elton John. “Speaking as a gay man” retorts Elton John, “I’ve had this bag for three years.”
